This is the best news I've heard since House told Wilson he loved him and Jack kissed Ianto. I *hoped* Jo would make an announcement like this as soon as all the books were published, but of course I really wanted it to be about Remus and Sirius. She's never going to confirm that one. I've sort of come to terms with that. Especially with her mentioning that it was James and Lily (not Sirius) who supported Remus after school. *sigh* That's not going to stop me 'shipping them all over the place, though. They were in looooooove!

i think it is absolutely wonderful that she would make such a statement though.Definitely. For an author this popular whose target audience is children and teens, this is a wonderful statement to make. Yes, the slash fans are squeeing over the Albus/Gellert, but look at what she is actually saying. The most powerful and respected wizard of the 20th century, the beloved Headmaster of Britain's only wizarding school, was a gay man. Just because Harry was not aware of this fact doesn't mean other people didn't know. And they didn't care. No doubt Rita Skeeter's book made much of ( ... )

Heh. What about me? I 'ship Neville/Harry/Ginny. But I guess if she doesn't say *when* Neville married Hannah (or why), that's okay. Plenty of time for my OT3 to have their day in the sun.
