Ha ha, that story is so Seinfeld. Looks do matter though - and that's not shallow. What good would it do to find someone you could talk to, but were physically repulsed by?

But hell yeah for conquering school and new job. Also, nursing sounds like a good choice. Congrats! ♥

My thoughts exactly, and no matter how much my mom pushes me I'm not about to go out with someone out of pity. As much as I lament being single, I treasure my independence.
