Last night, I watched a film called, ironically, Last Night about the final six hours leading up to the end of the world. Not the crumbling, panicky apocalyptic type, but a very human and thought-provoking type. The end was announced two months before the events of the movie, and while I was lying down to sleep afterward I got to wondering how I would spend my last two months on this earth. What I would do, in what order would I do them; what would I say and who would I say it to?
If you have Netflix, it's available to stream instantly. I definitely recommend it. Once you've watched it, come back here and tell me all about your plans for your final months, weeks, days, hours alive.

Hot on the heels of my younger brother moving to Texas, I might be relocating to Arizona. A longtime friend is offering me free room and board in exchange for watching her 18 month-old son. It's a much sweeter deal than it sounds: my own room (including furniture) with a huge closet, cable, a pool, weekends off; and if I want to get a real job, I can cut my hours looking after the kid if I don't mind paying a small portion of the rent or a bill or something. Plus, Crowley (my new cat, dunno if I've mentioned her here yet) could come with me. It's not definite yet -- I'm gonna email my friend and ask her a few more in-depth questions -- but it's an extremely tempting offer.

movies, friends, pseudo-reviews, wistful, pets, oh yeah this is awesome, outside my comfort zone
