I'm going to try to get my CNA license to improve my job prospects and... that's about it.

Certified Nurse's Assistant. Probably won't get me a much better job than I have now, but might help get me a decent second job.

I kind of wish I could do something with my actual damn college degree instead but, well, you can't have everything.

By a fluke of rostering I actually had a day off on the public holiday created for the royal wedding, and so I could be a normal person instead of a nurse :) We had a barbecue.

Wasn't it splendid? All of my friends have been giving me guff for getting so wound up over a wedding in another country, but I just can't help myself. Glad you got the day off to enjoy with your family! :D

I was ambivalent about it because of the shameless way the media was milking it. However, I thought they put on a damned good show, with not a whiff of Elton John (thankfully). Driving off down the Mall in a classic Aston Martin at the end was a master stroke.

The media here milks it for a week or two leading up to the ceremony itself and then we move on to more relevant things, like Lindsay Lohan entering rehab for the eighteenth time.
