A Simple Layout Request... If Possible

REQUEST, POR FAVOR:
Does anyone want to make me a really cool, simplistic, kind of retro-but-layed-back layout for my journal? I'm really sick of this one, as it's been my default for 2+ years now, and I feel a change is necessary. I mean, my room is completely different now and I like the idea that it's like, a completely different place. I want this journal to look and seem a little different, but to still have the same old touch to it.

My only prerequisites:

• Text size/font stays the same. I like VERDANA 10, for now at least
• I don't necessarily want the text box any less wide or wider, for that matter; 650 pixels is pretty sufficient
• I would love it if I could still use the small text, because I love that as much as "Verdana 10"

Everything else is basically up to YOU. I want to be able to have links, a cool and unique look, and just something DIFFERENT. Any recommendations to a community or just recommendations in general would be great. Suggestions? I have no idea how to change layouts for the better so that is why I am requesting some voluntary help. I want some kind of a preview of this layout too, if possible.
