SO. FREAKING. BUSY. AHH!!!
With all these things planned in my life, I don't have a lot of "me" time anymore. That's why breaks always tend to bring the best of LJ out in me. Sadly, that lifestyle has simmered down a little, because school has once again taken its toll on me, as well as many other extracurricular activities.
Bummer, ain't it? Weekends still provide the opportunity to thoroughly catch up, however. I do usually like to use those to sleep in, to be honest. Track and field takes a huge ton of dedication, and without that, times don't drop and you don't improve. That's why I must be focused on not only that, but my habits in general.
Sleep is huge. Without 7-8 hours of sleep a night, it seems I won't function properly the next day. Sleep is one of my best friends, you know that? Except we get in arguments often, and it often wins. I give into its needs sometimes as well. When it looks very appealing (as in, when I'm very tired), I often just lose it all and crash, which is what it wants me to do. Very controversial friendship, I'd say.
In the past few days, my outings to ten, eleven o'clock have led to even busier days. Those outings included a "for fun" Barnes & Noble run (ha, I just rhymed and used irony!), as well as the LMC concert last night. Tonight, youth group occurred, and it was awesome, I must say. I hung out with Jennifer and Cassie most of the time, and talked to Theresa again, who's just about the coolest cat in the alleyway.
I have yet to mention that I got fourth period off today, which was really cool. I believe I ran well in track today (coach said that he sent us on a six mile loop, and I completed it in about 41, 42 minutes. Not bad, eh!), though it completely wiped me out afterward. No worries; nothing a good shower can't heal!
Schoolwork's not that difficult. Lucas is helping me out a lot, so props to that cool kid. I also got excused from P.E. today because Ms. Hurst wanted to rehearse[t] (...there I go again!) "Watchman, Tell Us Of The Night". It's just about the freakiest and coolest song there is. (It also runs 15:00 in duration. Freaking long, I know.) That was pretty cool, though.
I'm going to leave you awesome flea-frolickers to go. I must attend to other business, such as stuff you're not allowed into. (...I'm talking about homework, O.K.? Nothing more, gosh.) Hopefully I can get to bed at a semi-reasonable hour. Tomorrow should be good, too. I'm not sure what I have planned, though. A movie sounds intriguing.
