That was a crappy experience - especially for someone so young and (I'm assuming) inexperienced in traveling.
Was the flight through the thunderstorm really turbulent? I remember taking off during a thunderstorm in Houston some 8 years ago and I saw blue lightning that was entirely too close to the aircraft for my comfort. And, yes, it was the most turbulent take-off I've ever experienced. It would have been eerie to see red lightning, though! Wow!
I also want to add that I adore your icon! *Pets the reading Leo*
I'd been on airplanes several times before that, but that was definitely my first time flying alone.
Luckily, the flight itself wasn't too turbulent. Wasn't until we started getting close to Phoenix that you could really feel it. I really wish that I had gotten a picture of the lightning, but that's hard to catch at any time, much less a flight. XD
And thank you! I colored it myself. It's a page from one of the Tales comics, and I about died when I saw it. The thing Leo is reading is the One Piece manga, which you may have noticed is my other big fandom. |D
