It has been a while

 Since I last posted. I checked and I last posted in June 2021. I know I was going to consistently post on there but that kind of went out the window. I kind of stopped all forms of journaling but I am starting again and will try to get back on here again. I like blogging so will attempt to restart things here.

Glad you're doing ok, Phyncke. Sounds like you have you life sorted and can get to enjoy some time in the CA sunshine.

That is one thing I really miss with this drought we have here is rain - I miss the rain. I read somewhere that they are expecting some rain here in October so I really hope that happens.

It's meant to be spring here but feels more like Autumn. Very strange cold weather for October, feels like there's snow inland. Nothing works the way it used to, does it?

I've not been posting - lost a family member to covid recently and with the illness and the aftermath I've not really been in a space to chat on here. Was thinking I need to make a start again and you're motivating me.

Glad you have y our finances sorted, that is a very good feeling (and one I'd like to experience again, lol). Well done on that!

I feel like the planet has gone a little haywire and that our climates are changing. Seasons are not what they used to be and the weather is unpredictable. Odd times.

I am sorry you lost someone to covid. Very sorry to hear that news. My thoughts for you and your family.

It took something very drastic to get my finances under control but now that it is done - I feel much better. Sometimes it is like that. No more living beyond my means. I have really learned that lesson. I am not rich so just have to say no to myself a lot - like all the time.

I'm sorry to hear about your boss leaving, but glad that you've sorted financial things.

California Summer sounds nice. It's definitely fall in upstate NY right now. *g*

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It is still kind of warm here in Cali. I chalk that up to global warming or something. It never really gets that cold here though - never below freezing. I hardly ever use my heater here. Upstate NY is definitely cold country. I have been there in the winter - freezing there!

Hi Phyncke. Good to hear from you and to hear that you're doing well. Btw, happy birthday! a bit late. As I'm one state over from you, we're getting similar weather here. It's mercifully a bit cooler, mostly in the upper 80s. We had a wonderful monsoon this summer, thank God, because it broke the drought. A brief respite I'm sure as far as long term trends go, but very welcome. It also tamped down the summer fires around here. Cheers!
