She tried to make it to the next President for us but she couldn't. Rest in Power RBG. Rest in Power.

💔 She inspired and led the fight for women rights not only with her hard work and scholarship, but also by example. It is heartbreaking to see her go at this particular moment in history. May her memory be a blessing and a revolution. She died on the eve of Rosh Hashanah. According to tradition, a person who dies on Rosh Hashanah is a person of great righteousness. She certainly fits that characterization.

She was a person of great righteousness - that was certainly true. The mess that is happening now with the SCOTUS seat is beyond anything that should happen. They should be helping people with aid and not focusing on this seat. Argh.

I do hope that the Dems will be able to block any appointment until at least after the election. UGH.

I hope so too - I don't know what will happen. I think the Republicans are being ridiculous to fill this seat.

As soon as I read your post on FB I thought that Trump would trample on every principle of democracy to appoint her successor before the elections. I wouldn't even put it in terms of racism toward Obama, it's just the plain disrespect. Everybody knows that a government, approaching elections, doesn't make decisions with long term impact because that will commit the next government and the will of the people who got it elected for a long period, in a way that might be against their will. That is just disgusting. I hope that your best and brightest find ways to stop this.

I hope so too - they are all getting covid from their SCOTUS party they had so something is happening there. The universe is against them anyway.
