Hello to all who are still reading LJ. I am trying to figure out of the LOTR challenge is happening for the end of the summer - the Sultry in September thing. It is getting on in the summer so it is too late for Ardor in August. Does anyone know what is happening with that? I am really in the mood to write something and would love a good prompt to

The world is going through one of its stupider patches politically. I have a bad feeling you'll have Donald around for another four years because of this.

No one knows what's going on with the mid-year swap but I'd guess it's almost at the 'too late' stage now. Several people have reached out to Kenaz with no success. Don't know if she's busy and it's slipped her mind or if something is wrong. There will definitely be a MSV in February though.

(if you know anyone who has her on FB, can you ask if she's all right - I'm a bit concerned)

Thanks for your comment. Jaiden just commented that Kenaz is traveling right now and so probably won't be doing the organizing of the swap. That is a bummer.

I will keep hoping that we can vote this idiot out in the next election. I really will. That is all I can do and cast my vote accordingly.

I haven't heard anything about a swap. Kit is in New Orleans right now, according to Facebook, so she's probably not even thinking about it.

I'm glad you're finding some satisfaction with work.

Don't get me started on politics. I feel like there's nobody out there who represents me. It's either left or right. Where are the centrists?

It is a weird time right now. So many in the field and no one you like? I mean there are a million of them there. Usually they fight for the center.

SinS is kind of in limbo at the moment. I've tried to contact Kenaz to find out her plans for this round, but she has not responded (and I definitely understand about RL being busy - this summer has been nuts!) As the AinA/SinS swap is hers, I wouldn't put together something without her signing off on it.

OK. That's a bummer. I am in the mood to write something so I will just have to self motivate or something. It's just so much easier with the swap. I guess I can wait for your round! No worries.

Thanks for checking on this, all of you! It had been nagging at the back of my brain that "isn't it usually around now that emails start going out?", but I wasn't sure if it was just me being impatient. I love the swaps. I wail and I moan the entire time I write, but they're really the highlights of my year, and some of the only writing I do anymore.
