Post holiday blah de blah....

Well I am sick. Sore throat, achey yech. I was hoping it would miraculously go away by today and I have been sick since Friday night, Saturday morning but no dice. I stayed home today. I don't believe in infecting co-workers and really hate when people come in when sick. I am handling essentials here and resting. I don't feel well and why spread my ( Read more... )

I love everything about Daniel Craig's Bond. He has the grit and personal conflict that fits the book character, the wit's still there but he's not one dimensional - if he gets beaten up it hurts and he bleeds. I keep hearing Skyfall is the Best Bond Movie Ever... I hope so, can't wait to see it.

And so sorry you're not feeling good.

I agree with you and all that you say here about Daniel Craig's Bond. New depths to the character and gritty and no white suit. Totally. Skyfall adds new elements to the character and I am sure you will like it. I loved it and it is what got me looking back at the first two films so closely. This Bond is so determined and relentless. I just love that about him.

The new movies have plenty of action, but it's less tongue-in-cheek and Bond seems more dangerous and focused. They aren't standard franchise fare, which probably puts some people off --- fewer gadgets, girls and bad one-liners, more plot.

That is true. He seems more real to me now, less smooth. Definitely more dangerous.

I agree about DC. Great Bond. I loved Skyfall, probably more than the first 2.

I think I agree with you on that. All the films are good but Skyfall is the best of them. Yes.

My parents hate him. well, not him, but his James Bond movies. they watched the first one with Daniel Craig and were really disappointed, because it was too much action, too many explosions and all this stuff... might be because they - especially my father - loved the old ones, and the newer ones are not so much for their generation any more (it's not just the James Bond movies though... nowadays you need to have at least one explosion to have a great movie, or a car accident.. or anything else, really shocking, with stuff flying around)

me.. I don't like James Bond as a character and I'm not a big Daniel Craig fan (actually I just don't care about him). *laugh* so.. it's probably not surprising that I won't be seeing the movie.

sorry to hear that you feel so bad at the moment.
I hope you feel better soon (and don't stay at home all the time, your body needs some fresh air!)

Daniel Craig is a departure from the typical Bond so some people don't like him. He is more visceral in the role. I really like him.

I guess I should go out but might nap instead. LOL.

well.. I don't think it's so much abotu Daniel Craig and more about the way movies are made these days. *shrug*

yes... a nap is so much nicer than going outside. esp. if your weather is anything like ours. v__v

I hope you feel better soon.

Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond as well - he is more like the book character than the others.

Thanks, darling. I really like him too, better than the others. He is a lot more viscerally bad ass than the rest of them. I love that about his portrayal.

Thanks. I am sick of being sick. LOL.

I really like Daniel Craig. I think Skyfall sealed the deal for me.
