Yes, any number of things, eh? I think he is doing well and will have a lot to show in his term. It is nice to have such a capable president as opposed to what we got used to before.

I thought it was a good speech. Highlight was Obama announcing all the tax cuts for middle class and then looking at the frozen Republicans sitting on their hands and saying, I thought you'd like that. I think Obama did a certain amount of scolding both to Democrats and Republicans, reminding me a bit of mom holding two combative kids apart and saying, now children, play nice. I don't think there is anything Obama can say or do to placate the Republicans and I don't think he should continue to try. They have become the party of "no" because it's easier to do that, sit back and then blame Obama for not getting anything done. The whole game is about winning back power. What irks me is those who insist the "answer" to economic woes is to cut all government spending. First of all the Bush administration got us into this mess, secondly cutting taxes for wealthy Americans and trying the trickle down idea worked so well didn't it? I totally get the rant. Sometimes it seems like they are doing politics for politics sake and they forget that we are out here and the nation is in trouble. We need them to put their partisan interests aside and get things done, eh?

The Supreme court looked like a bunch of puritanical witch hunters!! LOL Glad he mentioned that he was unhappy with them.

Did you notice how much grayer he is? By next year, Daniel and I think it will be totally gray.

Oh and Biden blinked more than Nancy!!! I swear they were having a damned contest!!! Oh and I am with you with Biden. I really like him a lot.

He is a great orator. His speach writer is good. If only Congress and the Senate would work with him adn become non-partisan...sighs...

I think all the presidents age tremendously in that job. It is so stressful. Carter did, Clinton did, even Bush did. So Obama will too.

I thought it was a good, realistic address to the nation. :)
