Loved the "male bonding rituals" line - ha!! and the "compete with Jake in the scruffy department" - hee!! Made me giggle - a lot. :)

Beck replied. “Don’t worry. We’re not looking for any trouble. We’ll maintain a low profile in getting to the border and back.”

Aw, CRAP!! He just jinxed it!!! Because, seriously? Jake + Low Profile does not compute. At all. ;D

She replied. “Thanks. Please watch yourself as well. I want both of you to return home in one piece.”

Thanks to both of you for your comments. I agree that male bonding rituals usually don't make sense!! For example, guys will think its perfectly logical to pound on each other, then go off and have a beer together! (And yes, I've been married for a very long time.)
