Been watching a lot of Digimon with my sister lately. It's an enjoyable show, and its time slot on local cable is convenient. We've watched Adventures (and the first movie) and Tamers so far.

I got an Eva vibe, especially from the music of Adventures/endboss of Tamers.

Come to think of it, Digimon is like a kiddy Eva. A buncha kids are brought

Pfft. Ain't a damn thing wrong with the Pokemon anime outside of it adhering to a strict formula.

I've got the run of Digimon; eventually I will watch it! And yeah the games are just kinda okay.

I think it's the differences that bug me actually. "Dodge it" and "aim for the horn" and "thunder armor" aside...you'd think by now that they'd let Ash win more than one League championship. It's been mostly bad luck and/or Legendary-using cheaters for him. :( That being said, the end of DP saga could have been done better, but there were good fights.

I'd say after Season 1 and Orange it's been up and down. Johto was said to be forgettable. Advanced was a mixed bag. Diamond/Pearl can be boring in places, but it has its moments. Lots of throwbacks to the old days, and I'm definitely a fan of Croagunk-Brock shenanigans.

Black and White looks to be a reboot of sorts, but the response has been mostly positive. I'll get to it eventually. (The games too...I've the DS ones, but I'm still playing the GBA ones to see what I've missed through the years. I don't think I'll ever part with the GB/GBC ones either.)
