So, I saw this ad in the newspaper the other day.

I kept refusing to believe this was real when scans of it first hit the internet. I should have learned from that Chun movie, huh?

I've there's a project I'd actively like to see languish in development hell, it's the KOF movie.

I jinxed it. It looks like it's going through. OMG, it looks to be on par with the MK movies of the 90s.

Really? The cast of MK was pretty good, I thought (in term of approximation of the character, if not acting ability) but from the case list I saw for this way back when, I wasn't hopeful.

Isn't it Ray Park as Rugal?

MK (the original, at least) was fairly true to the source material. I've not seen anything so far that makes me think this would be.

Also Happy Birthday for... yesterday, was it?

I should have said MK 2 (Annihilation). That was full of awful fights and awful CG (which looks like what KOF will have).

The first MK was cheesy, but memorable. MK:A did get a lot of things wrong relative to the first MK movie.
