The Importance of Editing Family Photos

You’ve probably heard me say this before: editing is more than changing a photo’s appearance. Throwing away photos (or at the very least, not publishing them online) is also an important part of the editing process.

If my subject isn’t in focus, there’s nothing that can be done to save the shot. Even if I love it, it’s automatically trash. ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed this entry. I think your so right about being willing to throw some photos away, but it can be so hard to do!

Thanks Deva!

Even if the photo is technically horrible, if I see a unique moment captured I will keep the shot, just not post it and probably won't print it either. But when I have 25 pictures of the exact same thing from the exact same angle, it's much easier to throw all of them away but one.
