What a fascinating picture! I love how you've got several patterns going here - the knotwork, the rounded pebble cobbles, and those Ogham-looking runes. A great choice :-)

I agree; Celtic patterns are mesmerising sometimes. And ancient ones always get my vote!

We have a wide selection of them. Mainly still either inside the relevant parish church or, as in the second one, in a lean-to in the church yard.

Oh yes, I love the intricacy of Celtic and Viking knot work, too.
That second one is really interesting, because it looks like a six-ways plait, until you look hard at it. I don't think I ever seen a pattern like that before.

Yes - the second one is clever, isn't it? I picked from some of the others because it is purely pattern without 'picture', and when I looked carefully at the pattern I realised what a neat 'cheat' it was.
