Is it bad when I'm watching an episode of the X-Files that's apparently supposed to be all deep and dramatic, and all I take away from it is "Wow, Scully's hair and makeup look great in this episode..."?
I keep seeing comments about how actual characterization and plot meen moot on this show LOL It seems like we're all realizing how icky the writing was on this show LOL Cracks me up!
I mean, I like the show, I own it all on DVD, but really when you look at it, it isn't the best show ever. The writing is so poor that we do only focus on how good a certain actor or actress looks.
That is bad, not as fans, but for the writers who wrote those episodes. Or perhaps even the actors for not acting well enough to make us care about what was going on.
See, that's the first X-Files ep I've responded that way to - that's why it stands out so much. Usually, even if I go "Oh, it's that one again" I still end up getting sucked in and enjoying it
