Admittedly, I read this one at the beginning of the year, so I don't remember much, but it really fails the Bechdel test? That surprises me...

It really does! I was surprised too! (Dust passes the test easily though.) It's because (almost?) the whole book, if I recall correctly, is from either Tristen or Benedick's review, so the opportunities for two female characters to be talking about something other than a man are limited.

I'm hoping to get back in the swing of reviewing now. I have a couple other half-written reviews sitting around my hard drive that I'm trying to finish this month, then when the new year starts I'll be able to start fresh.

But what about Tristan or Benedick observing a conversation between two women? Just wondering! :)

It's good! But if you wait too much longer, it might be better to read the whole trilogy back-to-back. The build on each other nicely. ;)
