My review of this book (which was an early book club pick back in 2009): http://calico-reaction.livejournal.com/133182.html

Johnson also wrote Moonshine, an urban fantasy about a suffragette and, iirc, an Arab vampire. I didn't like it near as much, and haven't finished it. I wouldn't really call it YA though.
I hear there is going to be a sequel to Moonshine. At least it'll do Johnson's career good I guess. :/ I'd much rather read book 3 of Spirit Binders.
...Maybe Small Beer Press or somebody will reprint it and finish it? Please?
Publishers dumping my favourite series makes me so mad. Walter Jon Williams had this awesome scifantasy steampunk series going WAAYY before it was popular and much better than the Victorian steampunk going on now, and the 3rd novel never came out. It makes me want to start up a small press just to buy the reprint rights and have him write the damn thing. Grrrrr.
Hey Phoenix, wanna help me start a business? :)

Tony Daniels has a really good space opera trilogy that got two books out and then got dropped too. . . so I know this pain. Let's just cross our fingers that Small Beer Press steps into the breach. ;)
