Yes. . . but none of them spoke to each other about something other than a white character. (Actually I don't think any of them spoke to each other. . . there were only a couple, and I don't think they interacted at all.)
That couple was Asian/White, as far as I could tell. . . their surnames were Chinese and Greek. I meant couple as in there were only two or three characters that I could identify as people of color, not couple as in a pair in a relationship. None of the characters I identified as being non-white interacted with each other at all, much less interacting in a way that had nothing to do with a white character. . .
It still takes a conscious effort for me to notice characters' race when it isn't particularly highlighted; but that's because I identify as white enough that I have that particular aspect of white privilege. I find it's good exercise (and telling) to force myself to notice that. . .
