March 1st, 2007: Marguerite Ellen Holt, my mother, passed away. It was all a little sudden for me. She seemed to have passed away quietly, in bed. I got a call saying she was sick and if I could come and help convince her to see her doctor about it and by the time I got up there, she had already passed away.  All of my friends and family members

I'm sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I don't think you should feel bad about not doing enough for her--most parents find a lot of joy in the mere existence of their children. I'm sure you brought her happiness a lot of times without even knowing it.
