It is late night when Joonmyeon just finished his night shift at the university where he is interning as the assistant of the professor. He comes late at his apartment only to find Chanyeol who is currently sleazily sits at the sofa, looking bored with his hair dishevelled and his thick framed glasses going down to his nose part, he pouts when he sees Joonmyeon walking towards him, "Hyung! You're so late~! Are you okay, did something happened to you on the way home?" he sounds panic and worried, hugging the shorter hyung tightly when he welcomed him to home.
Joonmyeon gives an affectionate smile to the younger guy while he pulls the hug and then he sits at the sofa, Chanyeol follows, he's patting Chanyeol's head softly, "It's just that I ran at the japanese mini mart nearby the school and I bought something that reminds me of you." , his hands move on the plastic bags with the kanji letters stamped on it, taking out a box of a sweets.
"Star candy?" Chanyeol opens the box, looking at the colourful sugary sweets that has shapes like a rocks on the surfaces, "What about it? Does it means that I am shinning like a stars in your eyes so that you ended buying me this while you're looking through the night sky tonight?" Chanyeol grins while poking on Joonmyeon's cheek playfully.
"Definitely wrong," Joonmyeon shakes his head while sheepishly smile, "Don't you think that it looks more like a bacteria or virus?"
Chanyeol is left speechless. Well. Now that Joonmyeon points out on that fact, he should agree that it actually looks like one.
"Does that means that I looked like a disease..." He frowns on the hyung, but Joonmyeon only smiles again, then he pushed Chanyeol's shoulder to make him leaned on his shoulder,
"Could be, you know when we first met, when Baekhyun introduces us, I never expect that there's someone that is even noisier than Baekhyun, you really give me headache at first," he ruffles on Chanyeol's fluffy brown hair, "Like a virus, noisy virus," he laughs for a second, "But as time has passed, I think now I've become immune with the virus, and it's a cute virus anyway, comes in colors of rainbows," he chuckled louder,
"That was a very bad cheesy pick up line, hyung. If you're trying to flirt with me right now."
"Is it that bad....? But It's Joonmyeon style. One of a kind. You will never find someone who flirts like this," he tried to defend himself, his voice is even cracks a little because he was nervous with Chanyeol's negative response.
Chanyeol is the one who laughs right now, "Ahahahaha.... But it's very you indeed, I've become immune with your bad sense of humour and romantic ways of speaking, so it doesn't matter. Next time though, don't use that to the guy that you're trying to flirt on,"
"But I only like you," Joonmyeon holds Chanyeol's hand and kisses it gently, "This treatment is special for Park Chanyeol only,"
"I know. I heard how you treat Jongin nicely like a great hyung without a hint of tackiness from Baekhyun, and I am sitting her wondering am I really happened to be your only victim of this?"
"Jongin is a different case, he's just a dongsaeng that I like."
"How about me?"
"A dongsaeng that I fucked? Feels better?" he
"How could I feel better when I was waiting for my boyfriend who came late and he came back only to tell me I reminded him of a virus," he mutters, randomly picks a star candy in a pale pink shades from the box.
"But you're a cute twinkling virus okay?" He pinches Chanyeol's cheek lightly, "I'm sorry that I used to had a bad first impression about you and treated you unlike how I treated Jongin, but you don't need to be jealous right now, I'm all yours."
Chanyeol meets Joomyeon as his one year older senior at the arts university where they majoring in music in the last 2 winters. They were doing a play at their school's christmas festival and Joonmyeon is the director who needs to cast a tall guy that leads Baekhyun to introduces Chanyeol to him. They were a little fight and arguments back then when they two started to work as a team because Joonmyeon finds that Chanyeol was too bright and easy going which doesn't suit the character that he plays on the drama and he got scolded for few times because of that, while Jongin is also in the drama playing on the main role and gets treated nicely by Joonmyeon, it leaves Chanyeol in an upsetting situation.
Things started to changed eventually after the drama ends, the frequency of their meetings came often because of Baekhyun who likes to get them two to be his hang out partner during weekends, Joonmyeon and Chanyeol started to see the other side of their personality that has never been casted before and it gave them both a new perspective about each other and their relationship started to built smoothly after that.
Chanyeol still remembers when Joonmyeon confessed to him at the library in school, doodling some ugly drawings of monster or some creature with the speech ballon of "i love you" written there at Chanyeol's notepad. Chanyeol didn't expect it. The senior is always being pictured as someone mature with a calm upbringing(from a good background too because he heard that Joonmyeon's father is a headmaster of a public school and his mother is a teacher too), but yet there's a funny side of Kim Joonmyeon too that has never been unveiled yet (still Joonmyeon reasoned that because it's Park Chanyeol, he tried to be funnier and cuter when he tried to flirts with him but Chanyeol didn't buy this idea)
"Hyung, I like how you tried so hard to be cute for me." Chanyeol curved a smile from his lips, then he turned his face to Joonmyeon and pulled a quick kiss on the elder's lips, "Thanks," he rested his head again on Joonmyeon's shoulder, somehow Joonmyeon prefers it when they're sitting like this, because it's really hard to be all lovey dovey to Chanyeol when they're standing, regarding to the height difference, but he loves how Chanyeol's big and slender arms could perfectly wrapped on his small wrist, he would say that there's a lose some and get some for having a tall boyfriend like Chanyeol.
"Who says that I'm trying- It's all naturally came from my heart!"
"Please, we know that you're now this kind of type, but it's okay!! As long as you really promise that you only act like this in front of me!!" Chanyeol remarks, he puts on a few star candies inside his mouth again,
"Hey! No one asks you to finishes the whole thing tonight, you'll have a tooth decay," he puts back the box to the table in front,
"But it's really tasty, you know that I love sweets,"
"How about me?"
"Did you just asking me to compare you with a sweets?" Chanyeol asks, raising his eyebrows, "Hyung stop being lame, last warning! I think we better sleep right now,"
"You need to brush your teeth cleanly before sleeping!"
"Yes, mum," Chanyeol grins, "And tomorrow is saturday you know that it means that it's a movie date for us right?"
"Yes, kid." Joonmyeon replies, nodding and putting a thumbs up.
"Do you know The Conjuring?" Chanyeol smirks while asking, and Joonmyeon has a bad feeling about this. But he knows that he loves Chanyeol too much to the point that he would agree to everything that Chanyeol wants. He's his star candy, that sparks bright and being in a relationship with Park Chanyeol feels like sugary and sweet just like how it tastes, but he was too shy to admit it that he ended using the super lame virus metaphor.
Joonmyeon clear his throat, of course as the assistant professor of english literature, he knows the meaning (though he was sure that Chanyeol didn't) "What genre is that?"
"It's a comedy! Very funny." he smiles like a goofball and tried so hard to held his laugh, "I promise."
Joonmyeon sighed helplessly, liar. But he is really weak with anything that involves Chanyeol's smile that he finds even sweeter than a star candy.
"Okay! Let's watch it tomorrow! It would be fun." he throw on a fake smile. Silently curses on Chanyeol.
I hope that he gets a tooth decay because of the star candy, then.
