Well, as someone who is also 'formal and has somewhat stiff ways' I can certainly commiserate.
Seriously, I felt like you were describing my problems....

Nice perspective on the pairing of which we don't get enough. I liked the narrative tone.

I'm glad you found my description accurate. I'm not exactly formal or stiff, but I'm rather shy so I can relate a little to Duv's PDA issues. And I can't get enough Delia/Duv, really.

Well done! i like this couple, and I can see it being just like this..he was so controlled all the time, and never speaks more than a tiny fraction of his mind, but his passion was evident in his choices. And Delia bloomed after their engagement, in ways you had expected long before, as if she's only now allowing herself to do these things because she can.

Thanks! They’re also a favourite couple of mine. I think they complement each other very well: she has the liveliness he lacks and sorely needs, and he encourages her to be more than just another non-Vor lady concerned only by balls.I’m glad you’ve liked it.

Because he doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve they assume he doesn’t have one. Because he doesn’t show passion they assume he doesn’t feel it, because he is not fond of public displays of affection they assume he doesn’t care about her.

Oh, that is perfect Duv, just the way he is in the books. It reminds me strongly of his failed courtship with Laisa. Excellent!

As you can tell, discovering your LJ and all your fics has sort of made my day. I hope you write more Vorkosigan fic!
