I'm so sorry, for both you and your family. And I completely agree, they are your family. Family are the people who love you and are always there for you, with conditions. Your boss sounds great; it's so important to have someone in charge who can actually maintain a sense of compassion as well as authority.

I'm so sorry for your friends' loss and for the interrupted training, but it's really nice to think there are people like your boss out there, who can really be helpful -- and people like you, who go the extra mile for your friends!

I'm very sorry to hear of your friends' loss, and for you too, as they're definitely family and, you're right, you absolutely had to be there for them. It's all too frequent these days to hear about people not bothering about others, but this was very uplifting to read. Not only because you supported them but your boss, who sounds wonderful, was there for you in turn. I've worked for quite a few people and I'm not sure any of them would have done that.

I hope you're getting lots moved as I type this! :)
