In Which Reality Splinters, If Only For a Moment

Sep 06, 2004 13:04

I have returned, as have my semiregular tension headaches. I am behind on schoolwork (which is due tomorrow), behind on writing (which will never end), and destitute beyond all imaginings. Despite this, I am of surprisingly good cheer ( Read more... )

We are all behind on things. It's a feeling that will follow you for the rest of your life. Get used to it. And that feeling of waiting for something larger? Get used to that too.

This song is absolutely perfect. Word for word, it is how I feel right now. Listening to such music at night, while you're driving around with the windows down just staring out into eternity... that, I have decided, is perfection.

Have you ever read The Perks of Being a Wallflower? You sound just like the main character of that book right here.

I'm happy to see that things are looking up. Good luck tomorrow. Just remember that the Buddha says that calm under pressure is a virtue. Don't worry, have fun. Make sure you let us know how it goes.

They are not sensations that I am willing to get used to, because if they don't go away on their own than I shall make them go away. I don't usually just sit around and wait for things to happen to me.

I have, indeed, read Perks and enjoy it muchly. I wasn't thinking about it at the time I posted, but I agree that seems like a tip of the hat to Charlie.

Buddha and I don't get along.

And yes, I shall try to have fun tomorrow, assuming I sleep tonight, which may or may not happen.

Buddha and I don't get along.

That's impossible, the Buddha gets along with everyone. That's why he's the Buddha. :-)

Hope your day's been good,

Hi...just a roach on the wall here. edtheroach December 19 2004, 10:14:52 UTC
Who are you?! I was curious about your journal because of a reply you left on Holly Black's about turkey...you seemed funny. You're entries could be made into a book you know. Do you write regularly? That poem on the bio is excellent.
"I am looking forward to college so much that it is almost a physical ache."
Can I ask, you're not a highschool student right? If you are, it is absolutely amazing - your writing ability. I've never seen a journal so well written it scares me. Must friend you! Would you mind if I added you as a friend? I'd love to read your journal but I understand if you don't want me to, because I'm an absolute stranger.

Hm. So many compliments :). I will take this apart piece by piece.

I am a figment of my own imagination.

I am a friend (and student) of one of Holly's friends, and am mad at Holly because she has, you know, VANISHED FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH, which includes but is not limited to: not answering e-mails, not calling her friend (and my teacher), and other such uncool behavior. Take it from me, if you're ever tempted to vanish into thin-air, don't do it. Just say no to the little invisible-making demons.

No that that potentially-insane soapbox is out of the way, yes, I am a high school student. I cannot, unfortunately, take credit for the lyrics in my bio - they're from Vanessa Carlton's White Houses. You are free to friend me, but you might wish to do so here, as this journal is somewhat discontinued.

Hop on board. I'm fairly insane.

I love insane people...yay! I will friend you're new journal as soon as I come across a computer...I'm on webtv right now, and it's not working right! I was wondering why I hadn't seen any of Holly Black's posts. I guess she's either busy, depressed, or doesn't care...I would have no idea since I'm just a random fan of Tithe. Is your teacher a writer as well?
