Spring Break 2007 - Colleges, Deserts, and Tinsel

Day 1 -

The plane takes off way too early. I am only half packed. To make up for not attending the rodeo this year, I reenact the calf scramble to get ready. I really need new clothes. Sounds eventful! New Mexico is amazing.

I was in a hotel room with two twelve-year-olds channelsurfing, and I hit a particularly awkward part of Rome. Good thing they were distracted by something sparkly in the corner.

Your description of the first day is very much like a travel blog. Heh. I just usually ramble on and on for a few paragraphs, boring most people to tears, and probably me if it weren't my own trip. ^__^

I love how the jewelry shop guy gives you pretty stern warnings, and the other one says the same thing, but actually says something good about the school...

Also cool is how you get a lot of freedom to walk around Santa Fe and down to the hotel bar like that. I don't get that much leeway. (Not that I'm complaining, but it's interesting to note differences in vacation style.)
