I still find Gambon a little weird - he's just not gay convincing enough for me. OMG, Ron! LMAO! Draco in the bathroom! Will be subtexty me hopes! Hmm... the bridge collapsing in the end was a bit overdramatic, no? Watching HP movies each year have always left me feeling a little disappointed. Hopefully it'll be different this time around

Gambon.... ugh... yeah. He's just not Harris, and maybe that's unfair of me.

The movie... actually looks like ... and I'm sure I'm going to jinx it here... like it might not totally suck. *is excited* The scene where Hermione is freaking out played really well in the trailer. Aaaa, and then it says "July" and I want to break things. :P

So, do you think there could be a resurgence in H/D after the movie is released and will it be a bunch of 12 year olds that could do more harm than good.... ? Thoughts, please.

Ever since the release of book 7, fandom, other than the avalanche of fests lately, has been somewhat dead. Felt as though there's nothing else to look forward to, and people has been jumping fandoms or leaving it entirely. Hopefully, the movie (i.e. the Sectumsempra and the smash!nose scenes) will somehow fuel a resurgence of H/D, whether small or big. And if it comes in the form of squeaky 12 year olds - ah well, we could always use some fresh blood as potion ingredients. Just give them a decade. Or two. XD

Why is there only one glimpse of angsty Draco in the two trailers? He's so important to the plot of the sixth book! I want moar Draco!

I can't wait for the movie. It's such a torture.

LMAO! There's one in the first trailer and another glimpse in the second actually. So at least it's one more than the previous years? XD In an interview, Felton did mention that he'll be appearing in 3 major scenes - I guess he meant the tower, the train and the sectumsempra scenes, yay!

Omg, what about the huge part of the book where Draco sneaks around and Harry obsesses about it? They couldn't have cut it all out...

I don't think they cut it all out. But we probably will get only little glimpses of him here and there. :D

I hadn't seen that second trailer with Draco in the bathroom yet. So when I saw it I did a little fangirl squeal (for the gay subtext of course) and chocolate frappacino went all over my laptop. You should label these with a warning: "Potential Gay Subtext Ahead"

What is that bridge? And those growing long black things? I don't like the movies, the characters are too different from canon. I hate movie!Harry.

I know, right? They deviate a little too much off the books... most of the time. And I think the only actors who stayed somewhat true to canon (looks and character wise) so far is probably Hagrid and McGonagall. Still, I'm always all hyped up about a new HP movie - I like the movies just... because they're HP, you know. LOL.

I don't hate Daniel and I find him pretty cute. But he's not *my* book!Harry. The image of Harry in my mind is a much scrawnier, messier kid, with a lot of spunk. Movie!Harry on the other hand - he can be frustratingly dim-witted and bumbling at times. But he's still cute. XD

I completely agree with you about Hagrid and McGonagall. All the others are just wrong - they don't look right (Draco isn't even naturally blond and Harry's eyes aren't green!) and they act OOC.

I don't hate Dan, but he looks wrong and he can't really act... *dodges fangirls' tomatoes*
And his character isn't like book!Harry at all - the crying scene in PoA (it nearly made me puke), and his annoying "count on me to save the day" thing in CoS is something Harry would NEVER say...

But I watch the movies, like you, because they're HP. We're doomed. :)
