My hoop is smaller than a lot of people's b/c of this very reason! It's like a lamp with too big a shade

A lamp with too big a shade...exactly! It's probably hard for people who are shorter to find smaller hoops pre-made. They just look too huge if the person is under a certain height.

I'm sort of "average" height and weight so I think "average" sized things work well for me. Which is good because when I bought my hoops, I knew nothing about getting the right proportion. Now I know I'd rather have too-small hoops than too-large hoops. I wish more people would pay attention to things like that...it can really ruin the look of a beautiful dress.
