Is it possible to be friends with people you have no respect for?

Or to phrase another way: can you feel like someone is a complete moron and makes really dumb decisions, and yet still be friends with them?

I had those friends before and sometimes you have to let them do their own thing but unless it effects your friendships, it's nothing to give up on a person for. If that makes any sense.

Yeah, it doesn't affect me at all, though it does affect the bf a bit... I just thought they were a little smarter than this, I guess.

Sometimes they are so dumb you do fall from friends to acquintances though...

It depends. I have a friend who I think is completely back assward on political things but OTHER than that I respect them on everything else.
