Something which I ought to have done much earlier is my 2007 book list. I am a slight control freak and like to know how I spend my days. So I thought about the books I read this year already. The following books are however not ranked in an order and new books and comments will be added constantly.
The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe

I've read "The Inspector General" by Gogol, and "The Three Sisters" by Chekhov (along with about two of his short stories)... it's not that much, but I lack time! *can't wait for summer* I have Oxford World's Classic translations of some of their work, so I'm going to be holding onto those. Thank you for the recommendations though ^_^
As for vampires... it's really hard to find a decent vampire story. Anne Rice varies in quality a lot- I loved Queen of the Damned, but hated Blood and Gold. I also liked Twilight by Stephanie Meyer a lot, but that's more of a romance sort of story. If you like the myth aspect, maybe you'd want to check out Carmilla? I forget who wrote it, but it's one of those classic tales. I really liked it. Other than that, I don't have much to offer. My apologies- like I said, it's really hard to come by a good vampire story.
