Scary Facebook Menopause Lady????

Facebook has ads all down the side of the page, which they clearly gear toward what they think are one's interests, so I get lots of 'look 20 years younger!'-type ones. I have few joys in life, but I do enjoy going through them from type to time and tagging them all as 'misleading' and/or 'offensive'*. Scary Menopause Lady has been cropping up in my sidebar for a while now.

* I never said menopause didn't turn one into a cranky bitch. Actually ... I suppose it would be unfair to blame menopause entirely ...

Scary Menopause Lady looks like Alan Rickman... o_O

I'm sure Facebook would never disguise Alan Rickman as Scary Menopause Lady. That would be false advertising. Oh, wait.

I don't know why she thinks menopause is an excuse not to brush her hair, at the very least.

She keeps popping up in my Facebook too. I'm not a serial killer yet, but some advertisers may be in the line of fire soon...

Yeah, I love the 'age appropriate' advertising. Still, I get a certain joy out of thumbs-downing the adverts I object to!

Another reason I'm glad I'm not on Facebook.

Not only does she look very scary, she also looks scarily the way I look when I get up in the morning. (Not that I'm in menopause yet - in fact, the way things are going, I'm starting to wonder if I ever will be.)

I suppose, to be fair, the photo might have been taken before she'd had her coffee in the morning.

I'm not sure what's supposed to happen when menopause hits you. All that seems to have happened to me so far is that I stopped having periods, and I don't mind that!
