A new level of stupid!

This was just too ridiculous to pass up posting on here.

THE US has banned Vegemite, even to the point of searching Australians for jars of the spread when they enter the country

Read all about it folks:

Regardless of what it tastes like, I can't help but think the government should find something more productive to do. I mean, in order for this to have happened, someone had to spend time AND money 1) realizing it was happening 2) researching why it shouldn't happen 3) drafting memos and papers and whatnot describing how it will be stopped, and 4) implementing the drafted measures. It was probably on the agendas of multiple meetings.

You did it wrong! It's not peanut butter. You need lots of butter and only the slightest scrape of vegemite, enough to turn the butter a very, very light shade of brown. This way, it's delicious.

Only Australians who have grown up on the stuff can tolerate more (that's me).

Wonder when the Vegemite smuggling rings are going to establish and the "just say no to Vegemite" commercials reminiscent of the late 80s/early 90s war on drugs will begin :)

I wouldn't doubt that it could go that far. We'll probably need to create some new issues for the next election, Vegemite smuggling is a strong contender.

Cool! How do you keep the burning sulfur fumes out of your room? Hepa filter?
