I've seen the Essex County book around. I thought I'd bought it, but a quick glance suggests not.

It's worth noting that although the setting has been fictionalized in the story, Essex County is a real place (Windsor itself is part of Essex County technically, but the term is usually used to refer to the countryside areas. There's also a town of Essex there.)

Speaking of Canadian writers ... did you know that the AV Club is doing its "book club reading/blogging" about Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin this week?

I'll admit I haven't done a re-read of that one for a while, but the AV Club book discussions are really pretty good.
