A friend's son may have measles because someone else didn't vaccinate and most of that comes from this stupid study.

I was SO glad that it is discredited and hope he is punished- but there are too many people who think that this is still good science!!! ARGH!

I was glad to read that he might be punished for this nonsense as well. It was completely irresponsible and caused a lot of trouble.

He should be jailed and sued and everything he owns taken to try and repair some tiny bit of damage. Because we have lost over a DECADE of pursuing what they now think is one autism link -- pesticide use. And then there's BPA. And every-fucking-thing-else that it's less convenient for the Me-Gen to avoid than it was to avoid vaccines.

he should lose his license AT LEAST. and then he should have to publish as many retractions and "i was wrong and acted unethically and STOP USING ME AS AN EXCUSE TO NOT VACCINATE YOUR CHILDREN, YOU MORONS" type announcements as possible to as many outlets as will take him. and then more punishments i can't think of right now.

The worst thing about this I'd heard is that he attacked the MMR vaccine, and then tried to cash in by producing a new measles vaccine (worthwhile only if the MMR is hosed by his study).

There's a certain type of concentrated evil in that.
