yesterday the UPS man rang my apartment and said
"can you please buzz me in so i can bring the packages up?"
and i said "sure!"
and i waited two or three minutes, opened the door
and all of my packages - including the one that went missing from thursday
were all stacked by the apartment door as nice as pie.*flexes nonexistent muscles

Tuesday: Phone rings, guy says "FedEx." The doorbell goes to the phone. I tell him my apartment number and press the code to buzz him up. I wait. I call out "Hello?" Nada. FedEx's phone menu goes around and round. Website the same.

Two days lying on a heating pad, gobbling Vikes. Good idea, cam. Good times.

you are totally psychic, because that is exactly what happened with UPS. had to call five different people at ups before i could finally place a complaint. try saying 'agent' at the phone system repeatedly, it helps.
also because when i first read this comment this morning i was leaning back on a heating pad (i have percs instead of vikes but that's just a minor difference). have you seen the massaging ones? they're absolutely fantastic.)
otherwise things are decent. i have a chai milk chocolate bar in my purse that i'd forgotten about (bought it as a reward for getting through the vocational rehab seminar).

I have one of those massagers! It's in the Reading Chair, and happy I got it before being reduced to this poverty-level SSDI income.

The best I guess we can do with nonsense like delivery guys is make sure we have enough chocolate. You're one wise lady.

I think I would feel even stranger than usual saying "agent" into a telephone many times. Not if I clean and freshen the aluminum foil on the windows first, though.

I got this massage thingy years ago that sits in a chair, my Reading Chair, and sends heat and hard rolfing waves all up and down yer spine. They have em at walgreen's. It's amazing. I would send you one if I could.

Finding unexpected chocolate is like the $2 in the jeans heading for laundry. Good on ya.

it's the 'flip' ultra hd. comes in lots of colors and is very intuitive to use so far. charges off a standard usb port but you can get a wall charger also, as well as a tripod. the camera itself is being sold on amazon for under $200 right now and the accessories are all around $20-30.
