*fans you* I hate that feeling, ugh. Those little A/C units you can get actually work pretty well; my dad's got one in his office that will freeze you out of there. And I don't think they're that expensive, based solely on the fact that he once offered to give it to me, lol ;)

About the snake and the hamster... probably the snake just wasn't hungry. Snakes are cold-blooded, meaning they don't eat as often as mammals do. Like, once a month or so.
