i was thinking just now: what do you think about things like black phoenix perfumes, which are very scent-building-blocks - and specifically the Salon series where the perfumes are based on paintings? because you have sense-criss-crossing things, like i do...

I haven't really thought about them in a long time, but I love them. I think I learned about their stuff when I discovered they made an Oisin scent (woo, my myth geekiness knows no bounds) way back in 2004 or something. A friend sent me some Lovecraft-inspired soap from them once, which is hilarious, but otherwise--I did't even know they made perfumes based on paintings. Holy snikeys, and those are some cool paintings, too. I'm lovin' the Klimt one.

(I don't really have a scent criss crossing thing? But I'm intrigued--if you have a bit of one, I want to hear all about it!)

for me it's a colors-scents thing. things smell green or orange (or sometimes emotional, bright/happy/sad/etc, and not infrequently shades of a color) i like to coordinate them to my outfit. <3
