So I'm thinking of sending cookies to some people this year, and I want to find nice bags to put them in. So I'm starting to try and find things like this so I can pick them up shortly after we move. This led to the following conversation.

*grin* YAY! (she's also done a roundup for 'holy week/easter kitsch' and 'general angel kitsch'.
(I am not ashamed to admit that I would buy the rubber ducky one.)

Hehee! The rubber ducky Holy Family is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, although the nativity scene inside the angel's skirt did give me a WTF? moment. I mean, supposedly angels have no use for legs, right? So are they just entirely ... not there from the waist down? That ornament would have us believe that's so. :D

And lo, the second Wise Man glanced heavenward, scratching his honored nose from the deep fragrance of frankincense, and beheld the Lord in the Glowing Angelic Vajayjay...

(oh yes I said it)

That's exactly what I was thinking, only you put in such a much more humorous way!

I'm pretty sure neither of us will get struck by lightning for thinking it, but whoever dreamed up that thing better not stand in one place too long. :D

Those Bad Nativities made me laugh so hard, I literally had tears in my eyes. Oh my goodness. I'm glad people have faith, but... Oh my.

Why they gotta make Baby Jesus into a kittycat?!

There's no kitsch like Christian kitsch.

Personally I have to say the worst ones were the ones on the sweaters. And the inflatable one. The ten-foot Joesph makes the kitty one actually almost tasteful.

Oh, you make me laugh!

Wow, someone else adores the kitsch at Oriental Trading. I buy stuff there to send to my nonhuman primate friends in sanctuaries. They especially like the masks. Especially the nonhuman primate ones.

Too funny.
