And you'll be well located to both a grocery store and a library branch. :)

I know where the QFC is on Broadway - I assume that's the one you mean? Or is there a different one? I also know where the safeway is, but that's further up, although not especially far. Where's the library branch?

Yep, the QFC is there on Broadway and Republican (or Harrison, I forget which) and then the library branch is there on Harvard and the same cross street as the QFC. Safeway is up on 15th and John and uphill. Trader Joes is over on Madison and 17th-ish. That QFC is your most walkable grocery.

YAY!

But I am going to giggle at the absolutely unintentional typo on your part:

the waster and dryer

because I keep picturing a toilet and a dryer in that room with that description. :D

Well, actually? The washer/dryer is actually in the master bathroom. So that room you were picturing exists.

Oh, I got that, it was that the WASTER spelling cracked me up. So I pictured ONLY a toilet and a dryer.

EXCELLENT news! I'm SO glad. You deserve a palace, really, for all you do for people. (With attached cabana boy.)

if I decided to do the pastry chef thing again

You are definitely the smart twin, to be seriously considering that. It has always been my pipe-dream. Seriously. *wistful sigh of envy*

*glomp* Well, there are a lot of college students in the building. Maybe I can recruit one of them as a cabana boy. <3

It will either be pastry chef or biotechnology, which has at least some numbers in it and is thusly not purridot-safe.<3 <3 The worst of it is that I kind of want to do both. <3 But I really love the idea of pastry school - and it's all in the mornings and may not have too much homework and it only takes a year + one quarter ... so maybe I've talked myself into it again. I'm excited about the sculpting chocolates and petit fours and huge wedding cakes. <3

Yay! And, wow, you're moving basically across the street from where I used to live. It's a fantastic neighborhood.

OMG, I just noticed this snippet from the article:

"Now that we know hydrogen sulfide's role in regulating blood pressure, it may be possible to design drug therapies that enhance its formation as an alternative to the current methods of treatment for hypertension"...

Picture the package insert on that drug...

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS: UNBELIEVABLY AWFUL FLATULENCE

Also, the more you write about the building, the more I am curious. *Is* it the Melmar Apartments?

Awesome. So many of my Seattle friends are clustered in Capitol Hill or up near Shoreline. Makes visiting much easier!

We almost did the Shoreline thing. *laugh* <3
