Gina's dad gave me cash for Christmas. KB is shutting down (read about it) and has everything marked 50 to 70% off.

I just got back with a mound of new toys, many of which I wouldn't have normally bought. G.I. Joe and Transformer toys, mostly, plus some Transformer knockoffs. The store was insane, with piles of toys on the floor ( Read more... )

If it's anything like the two stores I went in today (we have two outlet malls side-by-side and each has a KB) then everything's going to be picked over pretty good. I'm surprised at what I managed to find in the piles.

The KB nearest me closed last year before Christmas. I managed to snag my son some oversize building blocks that worked with the ones he already had, and a wooden train set. I wish I'd bought a second train that day.

I'm gonna check and see if there's a KB in San Antonio (since I'll be there today, anyway). Maybe I'll find some more goodies.

I'll be sure to take photos and post them. I wish I had an old H.I.S.S. to compare this new one to. The only old G.I. Joe toy I have is a Stun. (I have the Motor Viper that goes with him, though, so that's something.)
