• Does anyone know if Hobbit action figures are out there yet? I assume they will be made, but am curious if anyone has spied any. I know I told myself I was done with that, and even sold some of my LOTR figures out of desperation (and, yes, I do miss them). But I think I need a Bilbo - a Martin!Bilbo - assuming they follow the quality of the LOTR ( Read more... )

Ah, thanks! Should start looking for them then, I guess. Although I recently saw pics of Bilbo online and felt the likeness was a bit off. But still, toyses!

It was an incredibly special experience, definitely! Wish you could have been there too. I hope you'll get to see him live in the not too distant future. :)

Nothing at Sideshow yet, and I consider them the best LotR source, so I imagine they'll be right on top of The Hobbit when the time comes.

*nods* I've been keeping my eye on Sideshow and TORN in general (assuming LJ is catching all of their feed). I did find some images of the toys on TORN, and was a little let down by the likenesses (especially with Bilbo). But those could have been prototypes for all I know.

So glad the concert was such a good experience.

I saw Of Monsters and Men on a Monday night and it was just terrific, despite the obvious issue of it being a Monday night. The age range was immense, too, of the people in the audience, with a good 1/4 being people in their late 50s and up, about 1/3 high school/college age people and the rest in between, which made for a kind of mellow experience for me. I nabbed a seat for that one, because MONDAY.

:)

I'm really glad to hear your Of Monsters And Men show was a great one. Regarding the age range: I find that surprising, particularly the older end of the spectrum. But happily surprising, because I'd expect the band's fans to skew toward the college set. Yay for seats. Seats are highly underrated. More and more, I find myself making concert-going decisions based largely on the availability of a place to park my ass.

You can tell that the summer is over ... it's still warm during the day, but early mornings and nights are nothing like summer anymore :(.

And now it's full-on fall. That used to make me happy, but I simply cannot tolerate the cold anymore. And it means no going outside to sit and read during my morning break at work. Bleh. But going for a walk during my break turned out to be a good alternative. Just need to remember to bring tissues next time. /overshare
