• Currently watching ROTK on TNT. It's been forever since I pulled out the dvds (EEs, definitely) and did a proper marathon. That needs to be done sometime before The Hobbit comes out. *nods

Yeah, that was the only way. It all happened rather quickly: iirc, it was announced last week and the winners were chosen on the 26th. And it was a very limited number... I think they only gave away 75 tickets.
I know what you mean. Hope we'll be as lucky with The Hobbit, and can get in multiple viewings.
Martin-as-Bilbo does bring to mind both Billy and Dom!
:D Glad it wasn't just me.
Wish you could be at those shows. Hopefully Rufus will add some more dates or extend the tour and then you'll get a chance. *crosses fingers for you* And I hope you get an opportunity to see the Punch Brothers at some point as well.
Hee, I was watching ROTK on TNT too. Seems like way too long since I've had a LOTR marathon myself. I didn't watch ROTK on TNT all the way through though, that film makes me cry like a baby (as I'm sure you can relate!), and I just didn't feel like doing that at the time.
Glad you got tickets to Sigur Ros! That's awesome. :)
I'm sorry it's been such a shitty week for you. :( *big hugs* Agh, and I'm so sorry your Mom accidentally wrecked your handmade book. :/ That must have been very upsetting, even though you know she didn't do it deliberately. I can definitely relate to the loneliness and melancholy myself lately. Here's hoping for a better week. *hugs*

Oh, I can totally relate. I typically watch it in bits while doing other things. This time, I thought for sure I would turn away once the hobbits got to the Grey Havens, and yet I watched until the end. (Okay, I did turn away during Frodo's goodbye to Merry, Pippin, and Sam... it was just too much.)
Thank you, hon. *hugs tightly* I hope your loneliness and melancholy have dissipated and that things are going well for you. ♥
*nods* I'm a blubbering mess for the last 30-45 minutes of ROTK... pretty much from when Samwise says to Frodo, "Don't go where I can't follow" and "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you." *sniffle*
Oh god, and yes, Frodo's goodbye is heartwrenching. :*(
Aw, thank you. Still feeling blah, but definitely hope that you're feeling better as well. ♥

Love you. I wish I could fix everything but that's about all I have to offer.
