I quite liked the last episode. It was supposed to be a funny light-hearted throw away episode (but they even included a plotline!) and that was what it was. Except for the part where Sam said he still needed his brother (awwww) but also said that Dean could start taking care of himself more but we all know that Dean doesn't know how to take care of himself. I'm thinking people felt personally attacked by the character of Becky not understanding that she is a caricature of a fangirl. I say if a person felt she hit too close to home they may need to reevaluate their relationship to the show. Not that we all can't relate to feeling like a loser sometimes or even most of the time but we're not all nutters to boot. Loved that Crowley showed up. I knew he would

I did laugh a lot watching the episode, and agree that that was probably the intention. Episodes 5-8 do tend to be flufflier, filler types, iirc. The end, as you pointed out, is the most important part. Absolutely agree that people take Becky too personally -- it's been that way from her introduction. This episode, however, was the first time I actually felt a tiny, personal sting. But I think I might simply be in a sensitive place right now.
*nods* I'm so curious about the gimp suit guy. If the house has been around since the 20s, then there must be other former owners we haven't met yet. He could be one of them. Or something altogether different.
Was wondering about the Pig Man urban legend too. Saw something on tumblr confirming it. But that's tumblr... about as reliable as wikipedia. Less so, really.
Hmmm, not quite seeing Michael Pitt in him, besides a similar level of angsty talent. Definitely agreed about the actress playing Violet.
Haven't seen Grimm yet. It's on at the same time as SPN, isn't it? Will try to catch it

Sam tied to a bed...why wasn't this enough to make everyone happy?
I too made chocolate chip cookies from scratch today, but mine came out flat and not gooey enough, and I ate too much raw dough...the addition of toasted pecans is genius.
There isn't much more one could want. Besides Dean tied to a bed as well. ;)
*clinks cookies like glasses* Mine came out lumpy, but they almost always do for me. Am no Martha Stewart, that's for damn sure. Here is the recipe I used for the cookies.
and I ate too much raw dough
LOL I ate about half a log's worth of raw dough over the course of two days, prior to baking them. Not healthy, but SO good!
