Holy cow, is she hot. Wow. (She sounds amazing, as well, of course.) This was really fun to read. ...Lemon icebox pie, please.

I know, right? Kind of like a slightly younger Gina Torres in some ways (similarly great hair, at least).

Thanks for reading!

LOL Pie coming right up!

She absolutely reminds me of Gina. Love women who are badass and sexy as all get-out.

I wish I had the mental focus to really comment on this meta. I did want to let you know that I read it and enjoyed it. I agree with your points and I was always a Cassie fan. I wanted her to be the "Lisa" when it all went down. I wanted her to be the one he ran to but obviously the writers had other ideas and angles that they wanted to explore not to mention that Cassie was a past plot point and one thing show rarely does is go back to tie up loose character ends. Much like the Winchesters themselves once the plot has moved on the rest are left in the dust.
And she was the fiercest, smartest, and most beautiful of Dean's love interests. Probably why she has always been my favorite.

Now where is my pie?

Me too. I like Lisa, but there simply was not the same level of intensity or history with her. I'd feel better if there at least had been some mention of Cassie, at some point.

Yeah, true, sometimes. I also wonder if the writers listened too much to the negative fan reactions and, as with Jo's abbreviated storyline in S2, decided to not ever bring Cassie back based on general fan reception. Then again, maybe Megalyn just wasn't available (isn't she on some crime/forensics type of show?). Still, a one-sided phone call, recognition that Cassie still exists and Dean has spared a thought for her... that wouldn't have been difficult to work into the show.

Thanks for reading, hon. <3

Demanding much? *grin* Would you like whipped cream on that?

Cassie *is* awesome. Very awesome. She's my favorite female character in SPN which is sad since she was only in one ep. In the first season, no less! *sigh*

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of her. It would be wonderful to see her again but I can't see that happening.

Thanks for the good read!

That's a rare -- and wonderful -- thing to hear!

Sad but true. Even though the writers brought back Jo and Ellen after nearly three years, it's been a lot longer since Cassie and she was never a regular like them anyway. They probably would have mentioned her by now, in some way. Such a shame.

Thank you for reading! :D

Hi, here via womenlovefest. I think your Cassie meta is great. For the most part, I've only watched the first two seasons of Supernatural but Cassie is one of the minor characters who sticks out.

Thank you! :) I'm glad you liked the meta. It's not something I usually do, but the character and womenlovefest were inspiring.

Oh, but I hope it didn't spoil you for later seasons of the show.

Oh, it's fine--I know about some of the plot twists in later seasons from reading people's reactions and it's unlikely that I'll ever watch all the way up to the most recent episodes, anyway.

Besides, fun meta is worth spoilers. :)

Ah, okay. Cool. :)

I tend to be a spoilerphobe, so I usually try to add warnings about spoilers in my posts. But of course, with this one, I didn't think to add a warning until a while after it had been posted. Oy.
