That is... fucking depressing. What's worse is that even when women report the rape they are often treated badly by law enforcement making them a victim for a second time and making them and others less likely to report it when it happens again/to them.

It truly is. Yeah, and then if they go to trial, the victim has to prove herself over and over again. Meanwhile, it seems like one of the few times someone is treated as innocent until proven guilty in the justice system is when that person is accused of rape. What a twisted mess.

That's so upsetting. Someone was just telling me the other day of what a high risk group my autistic daughter is in. I can't even bear to think about it.

I can't even imagine how worrying (understatement) it must be as a parent with all these real life horrors out there.
