Back from visiting Shannon in the Carolinas. Very exhausted. The drive back was mostly good (occasionally lovely, to be honest, yet also maddening at one point when I had to go to the bathroom and found myself stuck in a traffic jam just before the next rest stop), but it hit me harder than the drive down. Oh, I've been to Asheville, for a fandom meet-up a few years ago! It was in the fall and it was very lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures.

I think you would love Asheville. :) The downtown area, which is pretty much what we stuck to, really is everything you could want -- just more accessible than bigger cities and also much safer-feeling. Maybe we can hang out there together someday. Although, I'd love to finally be able to visit you in FL as well... that's way overdue!
