❉ Thank you again to those of you sent out birthday wishes. It's nice to be remembered. ♥

❉ Birthday was not at all extraordinary, but there was cake and a fresh fruit bouquet and I took myself shopping and got two books (All The Pretty Horses and Absalom, Absalom!; wanted more Sarah Hall, but B&N had none), two new tops (one's ridiculously ( Read more... )

I like shoulder straps, so the first bag is definitely my favorite. And hurray for birthday shopping.

I was thinking the aqua one would have enough room to wear over the shoulder. Come to think of it though, the measurements given don't include the strap, so I should probably contact the seller if I decide to buy it. No way I'm using a purse that I have to hold onto.

Have you been on dial-up all this time? Tell me it ain't so!

I voted for the orange purse because while the blue one is cute, it doesn't look very practical and I am a practical kind of girl.

I think I forgot to wish you Happy Birthday. Sigh. Sorry, I am of the suckage. Happy Birthday, love. *hugs*

My heart was warmed by Deadwood's hairy female underarms. Yay for realism!

Your dream's are sweet, but yeah, time to amp it up!

Yep. It's pretty pathetic!

*nods* I'm starting to doubt the practicality of the blue too. The size is good, but if there isn't enough room to slip my arm through and carry it over my shoulder... well, then it isn't happening.

No problem. Thank you. :)

Yay indeed! And I think it's kind of sexy.

It would be easy to interpret the fingernail-stroking as symbolic of stroking something else. But, seriously, I'd appreciate it if my subconscious went more literal. *grin*

hey, new sheets are a BIG yay! GO BIRTHDAY!

I'm into my last season of 'Buffy'...I need a new series to net...hmmm. Perhaps Deadwood. I could like that I think.

I'll see your neck nuzzle and raise you CPR. (apparently that's the only way my brain sees fit to get my mouth on Dean's)!

They are a definite yay for softness, that's for sure. :)

I very much recommend Deadwood. Wonderful drama, atypical (in the best way possibly) western, strong characters and writing and atmosphere. Love Buffy... I mainlined that during SPN's 2007 summer hiatus.

LOL Now if it was his penis in need of reviving, that might be different....

Glad you had a nice birthday! I meant to send you a happy birthday but it slipped my mind. So sorry!

You deserve a lot of commendation just for sticking with dial up (or DSL?) for so long. I've been lucky to have had access to high speed for so long, I think I'd go crazy without it. But then, maybe I'd get more reading done.

I keep meaning to try Deadwood again. I tried before but I just couldn't get it. I was able to finally make my way through The Wire so Deadwood might finally strike me when I try it out again.

btw, I can't remember, do you watch Mad Men? If you don't you should because it's amazing. More than a little miffed that they haven't gotten around to signing contracts for the next season. It will happen, but waiting almost a whole year from now for more will be very hard for me.

I really like both of those bags. I chose the orange one in the end.

That's okay, hon. :)

Yeah, I'd been meaning to get set up for high speed for years, but procrastination plus my old computer's multiple issues kept me from going through with it sooner.

How is The Wire? I've been curious, but have yet to try it. Mad Men has been on my Netflix queue for way too long. Other shows/movies keep distracting me away from it, so I still haven't gotten to see any episodes. I hope you like Deadwood better the second time around. A lot of unsavory, unlikable characters there... but that's one of the series strongest assets, imho.

I might be choosing the orange too. Found out the blue isn't capable of being worn over the shoulder. Feh.

The Wire is a little difficult to get into at first, but if you stick with it, it pays off. I thought the last season was a bit weak, but I think I'm in the minority on that one.

You will not have issues with either The Wire or Mad Men if you have no problem with unlikeable characters. :)

Heh. Well, as long as there are some likable characters... or likable qualities within the unlikable characters. You know, a realistic balance. :)
