Poor Bobby. :(

And I agree, I don't get why Dean couldn't understand Bobby's point of view. Like Dean hasn't done crazy things in order to be with those he loves? But like you said, Dean was only looking out for Bobby. It was heartbreaking when Dean said, "At least you got to spend five days together?" and Bobby said, "Yeah... but that just makes it so much worse." Poor guy. :(

I didn't find the zombies very scary though (but they were gross!), and usually zombies freak me out. I'm currently reading Boneshaker (a book about steampunk and zombies) and after watching last night's SPN I thought I might have some zombie nightmares, but fortunately I didn't!

I'm wondering if Dean did recognize why Bobby made the exception for his wife, but also knows from experience that no good will come of such things. Given his seeming willingness to go back and erase himself and Sam (when he told Mary to leave John in "The Song Remains the Same"), maybe he regrets what he's done? Then again, I believe if Dean had the chance to do it all again, even knowing what he knows now... put him back in that room with dead!Sam at the end of season 2, and I bet he'd still end up at the crossroads, selling his soul to bring his brother back.

*sigh* All three of them need a freakin' hug. Like whoa.

Heh. No, they weren't scary at all. The kid was kind of creepy. But his intense, glazed stare made me laugh a little bit. Yay for not having nightmares though.

Dude, seriously! Anytime I see the Winchester brothers have a heart-to-heart, with one of them in tears and the other one listening an arm's length away, I say to my TV, "And this is the part where you hug your brother, dammit!" I think I've only seen the Winchesters hug like twice so far, and one of those hugs was in Dean's "dream life" episode (the other when Sam was brought back to life). And when they panned out to show Bobby, Dean, and Sam at the end of this episode, with poor Bobby looking so broken, I was like, "ONE OF YOU HUG HIM!" Heh. It's very realistic guy behavior but still, they all need to group hug fo' reals.

LOL! YES. I cannot tell you how many times I've yelled, "HUG YOUR BROTHER!" at the screen. Especially during season four. *nods* And there was the hug when Dean was resurrected in "Lazarus Rising" as well. So three total? Chick flick moments be damned. Hugs are long overdue. ;D

Related to your Santorum comments: Your reaction to this possibility is pretty much the same reaction I have to just about any R running. Hell, I have this reaction when they talk about Mitt Romney. That's how bankrupt this party is to me.

When people talk about my *barf* Representative, Mike Pence, running for president it makes me laugh/cry because he is about as empty a suited hack politician that you could ever imagine. He makes my blood boil. The man actually said this on TV with a straight face: "Rush Limbaugh doesn't have a racist bone in his body." Pence being a former talk show host must feel some affinity for the guy, I guess. But he's probably not as bad as Santorum, I'll grant you that. Just pisses me off because he does not represent my ideals at all. He represents the people who only about the fact that someone somewhere is having a legal abortion and the gays wanna get married and we just can't have that.

Is it me, or are the Republicans becoming scarier and scarier? It's as though they're kicking against the current administration, trying as hard as they can to distance themselves, which of course means throwing themselves deeper into right wing conservatism.

And it all becomes more personal when that politician is representing your state. Actually, given some of Pence's views (on sexual orientation-based hate crimes and abortion, for instance), it sounds like he and Santorum could be buddies.

"Rush Limbaugh doesn't have a racist bone in his body."

I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.
