now my fur has turned to skin & I've been quickly ushered in to a world that I confess I do not know

I'm suffering from fandom seesaw syndrome. Supernatural goes into hiatus, so I focus on Pushing Daisies. That goes... away-I don't know if it can be called hiatus or what, since we still don't know for certain when or if the rest of the episodes will be shown. But anyway, Pushing Daisies finishes up for 2008 and, after a wee marathon of the series ( Read more... )

Why couldn't these people have been on these shows when I HAD SO MUCH FREAKIN' TIME OFF??!!!

The Bonnie Hunt show is ADORABLE, he'll do fantastic on that.

And JDM, he can just sit there and I'll be okay with it.

Isn't that always how it goes? There's always a clusterfuck when you have the least time for it. Same thing happens in music: I swear, all my favorite musicians tend to release records all at once.

Oh good, I've never seen more than 1-2 minutes of her show.

True enough!

Those photos are gorgeous. I was convinced to netflix the movie on the power of those images alone, though a nice recc is always good too.

Leverage really is crack isn't it? My mom watched the last episode with me (in my opinion the best of the season so far) and decided it was really good and that it was a must see show from now on.

When does SPN start back up anyway?

Aren't they, though? It's impossible to find an unimpressive screencap from the film, because every shot is just that amazing. I really hope you like it when you see it.

Hee. Total crack. Loved last week's episode too (although they've all been great so far). Hardison had me in stitches. Speaking of, did you notice the guest actress in the horse episode a few weeks back was also the flight attendant in "Phantom Traveler"? More SPN connections. :)

January 15th. Less than two weeks!!

I'm going into Pushing Daisies withdrawal too. :( Actually there's no TV on right now that I watch... so I've been watching SPN DVDs (but most of the series is new to me). After PD is off the air (if it isn't already? *pouts*), the only thing that I'll probably be looking forward to on TV is the second season of FOTC... at least until True Blood starts up again this summer.

I loved reading your thoughts on The Fall! Gorgeous photos. I really would love to see Lee in other things (though I do ♥ Ned so much), so I've got The Fall, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day, and Soldier's Girl on my must-rent list. :)

Would love to read your poem, btw!

It's a pretty bleak television landscape right now, isn't it? :/ I still follow House and have gotten hooked on Leverage. But neither compares to PD; that's one of a kind. If SPN wasn't coming back in less than two weeks, I'd probably have to do something drastic... like read more. ;P Just kidding. Also? I'm a little envious of you getting to dive into SPN for the first time. That initial discovery can be such a thrill. :)

I hope you enjoy all of those movies when you get a chance to see them, although I definitely recommend The Fall the most. It's the kind of movie that makes me wish I worked in the industry somehow. So gorgeous... it's like art, but without being pretentious. (And ditto about Ned. He's probably the most lovable character I've seen Lee play. Possibly one of the most lovable characters ever. :))

Aw, really? <3 It might be a bit spoilery though. Maybe I can save it until after you've seen the movie.

It definitely is a bleak TV landscape right now, made all the more dull with the PD cancellation. :/

It is definitely a nice feeling going into SPN from the beginning, knowing I have two and a half more seasons yet to watch! Definitely different than waiting on a week-to-week basis, that's for sure. I'm really enjoying it so far! Jensen = the pretty.

Btw, I think you would really dig True Blood. It's created by Alan Ball (who, as we know, is MADE OF WIN), but based on the Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse novels. It's just wonderful, swampy Southern gothic with grit and darkness, but also magical and beautiful all at the same time. And it has some great characters. I'm pretty sure the first season is released to DVD in May, and then the second season will air this summer.

I'll definitely watch The Fall first, and then probably follow it up with Miss Pettigrew. :) I agree that Ned is one of the sweetest, most lovable characters ever ( ... )

At the risk of sounding melodramatic, I think the loss of PD makes life, in general, bleaker. :(

*nods* It's really nice going at your own pace with dvds, especially if you really get into it. When I rented the first season of SPN, my expectations were pretty low and I went into it cautiously, then ended up devouring the episodes pretty quickly. By the S1 finale, I knew I was hooked. I'm so very glad you're enjoying it. And, oh hell yeah, totally agreed on Jensen. *big grin*

True Blood does sound interesting, and the Alan Ball connection definitely counts for a lot. It seems a lot of people have been raving about the show. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on it. I will keep an eye out for the dvds. :)

Cool! Definitely. You just want to hug Ned and never let go. Hee.

Aww. You're always so encouraging; thank you for that. *hugs*

You don't know how happy it makes me that people are starting to think of Craig as the A-list (or at least the B-list). :-)

Is he A-list now? I've noticed that he's been outranking Conan a lot lately (which makes me giddy), but I'm not fully aware of how non-Craig fans perceive him. I just want all the people I like (like Jensen Ackles) to do his show instead of the others. ;) At least you know that, with Craig, he'll do a real interview instead of reeling out the same old, trite questions that could be answered by looking at an actor's bio sheet.

I loved The Cell, I love his style, Tarsme's, so I shall give it a whirl.

OMG JENSEN FUCKING ACKLES ON KIMMEL. OMG WHEN HE WAS ON A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO IT WAS SO FUCKING AWESOME. OMG. LMAO

I am so obsessed.

*nods* I think I'm going to have to check out The Cell now. And I hope you like The Fall.

Omg, I KNOW. It's like Christmas revisited: two talk show appearances in a row! I still remember how Rosie Perez got Jensen all flustered when she commented on his eyelashes the last time. Hee.

No way. ;P

Obviously, thinking about Jensen makes me not be able to spell. LMAO Whut?

But yeah, Rosie TOTALLY thought he was hot, and Jenny was being SO adorable.

I'm afraid that if I ever meet him, I'ma call him Jenny.

:)~

LOL Thinking about Jensen has a tendency to do stuff like that. Really, it's a blessing we can think at all when it comes to him.

That's 'cause Rosie's a smart gal.

Bwa! And he'd love you for it. (Or at the very least you'd get him to blush, which is still a total win.) ;D
